Find out more about the established RCRCs
Information about the Regional Community Recovery Committees has moved.
Applications have now closed for the Council supported Regional Community Recovery Committees (RCRC), set up to support communities to recover from COVID 19 and the recent storm event.
Four Regional Community Recovery Committees (RCRC) supported by Yarra Ranges Council have been established to help contribute to the recovery priorities of their community. The four RCRC’s cover the entire municipality and are separated into the Hills, Urban, Valley and Upper Yarra.
The Regional Community Recovery Committees will have a crucial say into the long-term recovery from Covid-19, and the June 2021 storms that impacted the Yarra Ranges. RCRC members are committed to progressing community-led social, economic and environmental recovery.
Council has committed $800,000 for RCRCs, to gather information and identify the recovery priorities of their community to create a Community Led Recover Plan and recommend grant funding for community-led recovery projects.
Oversight and support for the funding processes will be managed by a partnership between Council, Local Bendigo Community Banks of the Yarra Ranges and the Community Enterprise Foundation™(CEF).

When thinking about community led recovery, what is important to you?
You don’t have to be a member of a Regional Community Recovery Committee (RCRC) to share your ideas for community recovery from Covid 19 or the storm event. Telling us what is important to you is a starting point for the RCRCs to identify community recovery priorities.
