Sherbrooke Trail - Upgrade & Maintenance Works

17 May 2023

Upgrade & Maintenance Works Map

Upgrade and maintenance works will commence Monday 22nd of May 2023 on some of the trails in the Sherbrooke Forest, these works will continue over the next five weeks.

Please note that not all trails will be closed at the same time, and we’ll be working towards making the trails available over the weekends where possible. Segments of the car park will be made available as we progress through the works.

The order of the existing trails below will be resurfaced with a natural gravel in partnership with Parks Victoria to ensure the communities safety, and experiences:

  1. Sherbrooke Track (Red track outlined on map)
  2. Ridge Track (Green track outlined on map)
  3. Pound Creek (Purple track outlined on map)
  4. Wattle Track (Blue track outlined on map)

During the next five weeks the Sherbrooke Picnic Ground carpark will be closed off to the public, but the O’Donohue Picnic Ground will still be available. The sites will be signposted while works are underway.

These trails are part of the upgrade of trails within the Dandenong Ranges as part of the RidgeWalk | ngurrak barring project, improving links between townships and walkability which aligns with Yarra Ranges Council’s policy for improving community wellbeing.

Please follow our Shaping Page to be notified directly about the trail and parking updates happening along RidgeWalk | ngurrak barring. You will also receive our quarterly updates with upcoming upgrades, engagements, and activations.
