The Reveal - Doongalla Forest Public Artwork

The Reveal by Clarke, Kennedy, Bodycomb and Paten team (CKBP) is a series of installations of basalt boulders inlaid with intricate visual artworks, creating a subtle and harmonious narrative experience with the forest.

This piece unfurls along Channel Ten Track in Doongalla Forest to a central clearing where more pieces can be discovered and interacted with.

Channel Ten Track includes a steep gradient suitable for moderate to high levels of mobility and fitness.

Djirra Binak, Kalorama

Djirra Binak (Reed Basket), by Wurundjeri Elder and master weaver Aunty Kim Wandin, and Chris Joy, in collaboration with Collide Public Art, was installed in early April. The piece sits in a culturally significant place opposite Falls Rd, Kalorama.

The sculpture will be centred in the planting of local fibre plants, including grasses used in traditional weaving.

The planting and revegetation will be complete in Autumn 2025. We’ll have more details on a community planting event and ceremony in the coming months.

Regeneration – The Listening Place Kalorama Park

The Land Artwork, Regeneration – The Listening Place by TARRMACstudio and FOOKS Landscape Architecture integrates with the parkland, using natural materials to create a sculpture, designed pathways and revegetation with native species.

We are deeply grateful to the community for their patience over the construction period and look forward to sharing this meaningful site-specific work mid-2025.

Trails along the 'Community' theme run from Olinda to Sassafras. The theme reflects on the area’s long history as a place where creative communities flourish.

Exhibition 24 May - 13 July, Burrinja Gallery

ngurrak-al marram-u / body of the mountain is an exhibition outcome from a mobile artist residency that occurred along the trails of ngurrak barring.

Walking together across Corhanwarrabul (Dandenong Ranges), a group of artists shared place-responsive practices and considered what it means to 'listen to Country' through their diverse perspectives.
