We travelled up the Warburton Highway today to Yarra Junction today. We stopped at the busy shopping area, used by locals from far and wise, from all along the Warburton highway area.

You told us you were happy to see us out in the community & enjoy getting information this way.

We asked community members "What do you love about Yarra Junction?" as a part of the Yarra Junction Place Plan. We spoke to local from all across the Yarra Ranges including Warburton, East Warburton, Don Valley, Launching place, Wesburn and more!

The Community Engagement Team connected with around 40 community members today including local residents', business owners & those who popped in from other suburbs to do some shopping!

We will be chatting to other departments to answer some of your comments including;

• Dirt roads in the area
• Possible hooning and traffic calming concerns
• Rising costs related to the Yarra Centre

• Varying opinions on FOGO - including loving the service, no need for it, better education needed for what to/not put in them, weak liners, service is confusing, communal bins for units and aged care.
• Happy with YJ in general. Love that it is green, want more street trees, love the views and space, love the character.
• Would like to see fewer subdivisions and less multi-story houses, feel the Yarra Centre is getting too expensive, too many potholes on both Council and Vic Roads roads!
