We set up in from of the shops central to Yarra Glen, a busy hub for locals and visitors to the area . It was a windy morning but that didn't stop the community from coming over to say hello & have a chat!

We encouraged community members to participate in a fun Draft Budget activity allocating points to services they feel Yarra Ranges Council should focus on into the future and also introduced the draft aquatics strategy survey.

We had officers from the Community Engagement Team attend today (in our new uniforms !)

We heard from 25 people including residents, business owners and visitors.

The main themes we heard were

• You often feel like poor cousins of Healesville
• There is a lack of infrastructure to support both residents & local needs ie parking. & recreational (water park)
• You would like more recreation in the area - ideally a water park.
• You are interested in sustainability & exploring environmental options wherever possible.
