The annual Lilydale Melba Festival and Street Fair was the last stop on our Community Engagement Roadshow for 2025 and we certainly finished the year on a high! A beautiful sunny day encouraged a great turnout of local residents and visitors to experience local arts and crafts, chat to community groups and organisations, enjoy great food and a huge range of children's entertainment!

We heard how much you enjoy attending these locally organised events, and are happy for Council grants to help support them. We chatted our Councils annual report card and were pleased there were some surprises around the vast array of services supplies. Local concerns included the proposed expansion of Montrose quarry - which Council have advocated for an environmental impact assesment to be conducted and the future of a new aquatic facility in the area which is currently at the business case stage.

We have really appreciated everyone who has engaged with us during the year. Whether you've told us what you love about your local area, picked up a leaflet on a Council service or event, left some feedback on a project - or shared a gripe! - we value your time and hope we were helpful.

Don't forget you can help shape our Community Engagement roadshow by 'telling us where to go' in 2025
