Today we were back at Kalorama to attend the 40th annual Kalorama Chestnut Festival!

Unlike the past few years, it was a glorious sunny day all day for the local community and visitors to come together for a day of family entertainment, handicraft and food stalls, workshops, and local musical talent whilst raising funds for Mount Dandenong Preschool and Mount Dandenong Primary School.

We were joined today by officers from various team, to discuss local projects and opportunities to get involved in a range of projects currently open for community engagement including;

Streets & Roadside trading policy - with a fixed trading site proposed at the Kalorama oval!

Heritage Strategy - what heritage means to you & how Yarra Ranges Council should acknowledge it.

Olinda Parking Plan - meeting the needs of locals, visitors & businesses

Power to Save - A joint project with Deakin University helping parents reduce household energy consumption

ngurrak barring team joined us to chat to locals and visitors about the progression of the project which has 39 kilometres of interconnected walking trails featuring improved tracks, architectural nodes, permanent sculptures, land art and heritage interpretation.
