We are currently reviewing our Streets and Roadside Trading Policy. This policy outlines how council managed land can be used for trade or advertising and covers,

Footpath trading - any items you have on the footpath in front of your business, including kerbside dining and shopping.

Roadside trading - operating a business from the side of a Council road or Council owned carpark. This includes food trucks and miscellaneous stalls/trade (e.g. Christmas tree sales, roadside flowers) It also covers requirements for items such as signage, furniture, and shelter.

This stage of the project is focussed on hearing from current or previous permit applicants via a survey and targetted focus groups.

We want to hear from businesses and traders about your experiences and understand any current issues or opportunities. This will assist us to develop the new policy to best support community, business and traders.

After the Draft Streets and Roadside Trading Policy has been developed, we will be coming to the broader community for your feedback. Follow this page to stay updated on the progress.
