Arial view of Kimberley Reserve

This proposed project will see the installation of a new, 3 pole LED Lighting system on the open space area (as pictured) at Kimberley Reserve, providing suitable lighting for tenant clubs to train on. The project also includes the installation of pathway and security lighting from the pavilion to the training space, providing a safe path of travel for all user groups as well as for the community.

The training space lighting will be installed to Australian Standard 2560.2.3 for Football (all codes) 50 Lux for training.

The addition of the training space at Kimberley Reserve will take pressure off the two main ovals which have recently been re-surfaced and are heavily utilised all year round by over 700 participants from football and cricket.

These works will also complement the current pavilion redevelopment and oval lighting and resurfacing that was completed in 2019/20. The training space will provide relief from existing high levels of participation as well provide other opportunities for use by the neighbouring primary school, community, and an area for unstructured recreation/play.
