Tell us what you think of the Pop-Up spaces, Community Gardens or Parklets

Our communities and towns are working hard to rebuild after the impacts of COVID and the devastating storms.

Local businesses are a large part of this recovery effort, building their businesses back up in a COVID safe way.

We are using the lessons we have gained from the last two challenging years for the opportunities to enhance trade in our towns. Yarra Ranges Council with the support of the Victorian Government is encouraging people to return to these areas by creating shared community spaces, parklets, and temporary dining spaces in towns across the municipality.

We want to know if the temporary spaces built to bolster our traders should be a more permanent feature in our municipality. We want to know what you've loved about these spaces and where improvements could be made.

Tell us your thoughts in our short survey below.

Parklets & Community Spaces

As part of the Victorian State Government’s Place Recovery Initiative, the Yarra Ranges Council has created several shared community spaces and parklets in various townships.

The purpose of this initiative is to encourage people to spend more time in townships after Covid19 lockdowns, by providing inviting places for patrons to enjoy and take congestion off the footpaths. This creates a Covid-safe environment and encouraging more activity and trade.

These Parklets and Community Spaces are designed to be relocatable and may be moved to new sites from time to time based on survey feedback and usage.
