Over recent years, we have heard from members of our community about some of your experiences of flooding and drainage issues across our municipality. Most recently, this information was considered during the development of the Council's Stormwater Management Plan and the resulting Stormwater Community Reference Panel.

Melbourne Water will deliver the next important piece of this work, updating the flood maps for the Yarra Ranges area.

Flood mapping helps to identify locations at risk of flooding. 12 maps covering Yarra Ranges are going to be updated, reflecting different sources of flooding. The information provided will be used to plan for infrastructure, housing and emergencies. To improve the quality of the current maps, in August , Melbourne Water asked you to share your experiences of flooding in Yarra Ranges, from stormwater drains, creeks, rivers or waterways.

The submission period has closed.
