The key things being suggested on the site include:

The sealed pump track (see next question for a description)

More car parking

A small public toilet

A picnic shelter with seats and tables

An informal trail network and

Additional tree planting.

A pump track is a circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed for bikes, scooters, skateboards and even wheelchairs. Instead of pedalling, riders generate momentum by up and down body movements or ‘pumping’. Riders can enjoy practicing the basic skills of carrying momentum, improving balance and building speed.

Council was successful in getting a grant through the State Government's Growing Suburbs Fund to fund half the project. Council will fund the remainder of the project, to create active open space for the community.

The next phase of planning will be going out to tender for the design and construction of the pump track. The car park and public toilet will be constructed in early 2022.

Community consultation on the pump track will be delivered in February and March 2022. This will be your chance to put forward your ideas.
