Works Summary

Proposed description of works:

  • Bitumen spray seal over 150mm of crushed rock base.
  • Width varying between 3.5 to 5.0 metres following the existing road alignment.
  • Reshaped existing table drains.


Background

In 2015, landowners petitioned to Council for the construction of Charteris Road, Blacks Road and Alex Thomson Drive as a special charge scheme.

Delays in progressing the petition primarily relate to Council’s capacity to contribute towards a large number of competing road and other infrastructure improvement projects throughout the municipality.

Landowners will be surveyed in early 2022 to determine their support for a special charge scheme to construct the roads.
