What you told us

We heard from parents and other community members that Carmen’s Reserve Playspace is commonly used for playing, health and fitness, and dog walking. It is a place where a child can learn new things / use their imagination and is a quiet spot to walk and be on your own.

You told us:

  • The space is valued by the local community
  • The site is ideal for playing and using imagination
  • It is a safe area, away from traffic, with open grassed spaces.
  • The playspace needs a variety of different equipment to suit and entertain all ages
  • The site has a connection to the Warburton trail that is not signed or adequate for all users.
  • The site has drainage issues
  • You would like to see formal pathways linking the playspace

Proposed new playspace

The proposal for the playspace and surrounding reserve includes a linking pathway, drinking fountain and picnic furniture, as well as slide, swing set with basket, monkey bars and a rope play unit.

We’re inviting you to provide feedback on the playspace design. Community feedback will be used to finalise the design and help us confirm what colours and art you would like.
