First survey
In 2022, Yarra Ranges Council in collaboration with Inspiro Community Health, will be delivering the Art and Sole Project in Lilydale West. The project will aim to increase walking and promote local Wurundjeri art pieces in the area.
An Indigenous art sculpture will be installed atPoyner Reserve with signs and mapped walks in the surrounding areas. Signs will include cultural and historical information including local Wurundjeri history, information gathered by local historians and messages to encourage increased physical activity.
A community survey has been run to explore opinions on current and future walking routes and public art in Lilydale. This information is currently under review and will be used for planning and evaluating current and future projects in the area.
